This open staircase with a landing (also called an intermediate landing) was completed in beautiful The Hague.
The clients chose an oak staircase, stained in a deep brown shade (cognac brown). The balustrade consists of glass panels recessed into the stringer. The goal was to keep the space as open and transparent as possible while using natural and robust materials.
Stair support
For support while using the staircase, wide oak handrails were installed on both the walls and the glass balustrade. The architect also allowed sufficient space for an intermediate landing, providing a natural resting point while ascending or descending the stairs.
Custom cabinets for under your staircase
In the future, there is enough space under the staircase to install a custom storage cabinet. Because it can be placed beneath the landing, it does not affect the appearance of the open staircase.
